China & Japan
Although geographically close and Japan has received great influence from China throughout its history, the two countries are very different. Both are rich in history and culture and can be visited on the same trip.
The chinese capital, Beijing, is the starting point for the Great Wall of China, one of the seven wonders of the world. The city has other impressive attractions, such as the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and the Olympic Park. But the biggest city is Shanghai, with 16 million habitants and a chaotic pace, just like São Paulo, in Brazil. There, the Yuyuan Gardens enchant visitors, as well as the Jade Buddha Temple.
Even smaller, Japan leaves its jaw dropping. Kyoto is the birthplace of japanese culture, with temples and castles that tell an ancient history. Tokyo has more than 13 million habitants. In the capital there are also temples, such as the Senso-ji and the Meiji Shinto Shrine, and the Imperial Palace.
In Kyoto, the golden temple of Kinkaku-ji, the Tenryu-ji Temple and the historic district of Gion, where the famous geisha are located, stand out. In Osaka, there is the Kuromon market, full of different delicacies and products, and Osaka Castle.
