Caribbean
Cancun
Known for its beaches, its many resorts and its nightlife, Cancún is located on the Yucatan Peninsula, off the coast of the Caribbean Sea. It consists of two different areas: the most traditional, of the city center, El Centro, and the Zona Hotelera, a long strip by the sea with large hotels, nightclubs, shops and restaurants. Cancún is also a famous destination for students during the university's spring break.
Barbados
Barbados is an island in the Eastern Caribbean and an independent nation from the British Commonwealth. Around the island are beaches, botanical gardens, Harrison's Cave and 17th-century country houses, such as St. Nicholas Abbey. Bridgetown, the capital, is a cruise ship port with colonial buildings and the Nidhe Israel synagogue, founded in 1654. Taking a boat trip in Barbados is practically mandatory. In the West Coast region there are very calm and transparent waters, perfect for traveling by boat and seeing beaches that are hidden from those who drive by on the road. A stop for diving with turtles is included on most tours.
Saint Lucia
Saint Lucia is an island nation in the eastern Caribbean with a pair of conical mountains, the Pitons, on the west coast. On the coast, there are volcanic beaches, places for diving in reefs, luxurious resorts and fishing villages. The trails in the interior forest lead to waterfalls such as Toraille, 15 meters high, which goes down a hill to a garden. The capital Castries is a well-known cruise port.
